All areas of our government have been whored out to the highest bidder. Our only hope of reclaiming our republic is through revolution. I wish that the revolution would take the form of honesty, integrity, and individuals willing to confront their fears. But, I dream. Our Republic is lost. Our values are now corrupted by the pursuit of profit. Individual Americans too caught up in their lives allowed this to happen and now it is too late to reverse course. I don't feel this way because of an opposition to the death penalty, I think it was a travesty because it undermines the authority of the Iraqi government. How can you tell people to stop murdering one another when you execute prisoners so inhumanely and brutally? Iraq is a debacle now. A first grade disaster.
